The Abandoned Children’s Society

The Abandoned Children’s Society strives to successfully finance the abolition of human trafficking. We are all participants in this community, some more active than others and some more effective than others. We retain a tight scope to ensure efficiency and transparency with donations, programs, and investments. You can count on the legitimacy and validity of partnered charities, so much so that we will match your respective donations. So please step in and be the positive active participant in this community.

Roughly half a million children’s futures are destroyed annually in the US alone. Why are we watching our own future dissolve away? The Abandoned Children’s Society puts the child first. The average age for one entering prostitution ranges from 12 to 14 years old while the rate of childhood molestation amongst identified and rescued individuals is a staggering 85%. Sadly, California harbors 3 of our nation’s 13 most highly trafficked areas according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation: San Francisco, San Diego and Los Angeles. 84% of trafficked individuals are U.S citizens.

These numbers will only grow exponentially if you sit idly by. The world’s third largest crime industry, human trafficking, profits $32 billion annually and has a cure. The cure is you. Face the enemy with us. Be more than a survivor, be a warrior.

Differences/Goals

The Abandoned Children’s Society has developed a fully transparent system that connects donors, organizations, and previously trafficked individuals. This transparency begins with our board and staff. No one is taking a salary, therefore, 100% of all donations will go to the donors’ desired charitable organization. We have elected to provide you with the selection of three categories: Online Protection and Educational Prevention, Extraction and Criminal Justice and Aftercare – The Transformation from Survivor to Warrior. Our research into these three areas provides you with the ability to track your donation from beginning to end. If you do not care to donate anonymously then you, as a donor, will be able to see where your donation goes, whether it be the criminals you help put away or the individual you help liberate. All details that can be made public will be made public. The Abandoned Children’s’ Society’s goal is to match all donations dollar for dollar with corporate or private funds, doubling your donation power.

Sponsored Charities

Abandoned Children’s Society is actively researching and developing new partnerships with non-profits and charities all around the globe. Email or contact us for further information about becoming a sponsored/partnered charity.

Our Work

Online Protection and Educational Prevention

The Abandoned Children’s Society aspires to pair up with numerous groups and organizations that specialize in the creation of a safer online community. From teaching safe practices to younger generations to the conception and development of more effective legislation, it all starts with you.

Extraction and Criminal Justice

Some of our partnerships revolve around organizations that save abandoned children everyday worldwide. You can be a part of the first steps in liberation and donate to the extraction of trafficked and abused individuals. Or pursue involvement in the funding of the continuous need for creating, amending, and enforcing laws for improvements to our criminal justice system.

About Us

Our team consists of three key individuals Daniel Buskett, Trent Armitage, and Alan Rusak. Our backgrounds are unique but our shared beliefs magnify effectiveness in financing the abolition of human trafficking.

Daniel Buskett

While finishing up his undergraduate studies at Loyola Marymount University, he founded The Abandoned Children’s Society in 2021. Currently, he is responsible for discovering, researching, and developing new programs for the organization. His background consists heavily of the liberal arts and actively works in construction as a licensed contractor. However, his bachelors in history allows for a deep understanding of its dismal repetition and the practical nature of his occupational responsibilities prepares him for a life-long fight against human trafficking on all levels.

 Trent Armitage

Secretary since January 2025, Trent Armitage, has a dedicated approach to ensuring the productivity, transparency, and opportunity within the aforementioned programming. His real estate background provides foresight regarding both investments into The Abandoned Children’s Society and our partnered programming. Most importantly, he pairs this with a desire and dedication necessary for effectiveness in the abolition of human trafficking.

 Alan Rusak

Originally a board member, Alan Rusak became treasurer for The Abandoned Children’s Society in January 2025. He has a robust background in entrepreneurial management and philanthropic tendencies. The crux of these is where organizations like ACS, thrive. Alan provides an invaluable opinion regarding programming, soliciting, and funding for the financing against human trafficking.
